Details: In our modern day society, digestive problems have become a part of our daily routine; albeit often an inconvenient, painful or embarrassing one. There would hardly be an individual who haven’t experienced problems like gas trouble, acidity or constipation. Though these can be considered as minor problems, the physical and mental discomforts caused by these are not insignificant. The number of patients suffering from pain and discomfort of gastric related problems is increasing day by day.

The current health trend and the increasing stomach and gastro related ailments being reported stands testimony to this fact. A major irony however remains that some of the most chronic digestive related ailments are now prevalent and thriving amongst the metro population. An alarming aspect is that these ailments are more prevalent and reported amongst youngsters in the age group of 16 - 21 with no reported statistical differentiation observed between genders. However, we seldom talk about digestive disorders and we rarely seek advice to this “perceived” common problem. Ayurveda considers that health of the digestive system is at the center of optimum health. If you can absorb and assimilate life’s experiences, whether physical or emotional, then you are healthy.

This means that you can manage life’s challenges and will not be held back by past ‘meals’ or experiences. An undigested meal leaves discomfort as can an undigested experience! It is therefore that this edition of ‘Vedayu’ focuses on the various stomach and gastric disorders faced by this generation and how Ayurveda offers a holistic solution to this problem. This edition also dwells into some other interesting topics such as Dincharya & Ritucharya, Panchakarma, Health & Wellness destinations and interesting health and beauty tips for our valued readers.

We wish all our readers a happy and healthy life ahead!

Warm regards,
