About the Author

Dr. Vishnu Bawane is an Associate Professor (Dept of Prasutitantra-Strirog) with D.Y.Patil School of Ayurved, Nerul, Navi Mumbai. He holds a Bachelors degree in Ayurveda and has several other qualifications attached to his name including MD ( Prasutitantra-Strirog), Ph.D (Sch.), E-MBA (Health care & Clinical Research), Dip. In Yoga, PG Diploma in Clinical Research (PGDCR), BTCM (Acupuncture), M.D.Ac.-Masters Diploma in Acupuncture therapy.

He is also a Member of the Maharashtra Council of Indian Medicine (MCIM) and was Joint Secretary of National Integrated Medical Association (NIMA, Maharashtra) between 2014 to 2016. He is an Expert member of Maharashtra Board of Paramedical Education (MSBVEE) and is the recipient of several awards including ‘International Excellence Award’ at Malaysia for Research in the field of Ayurveda from Tathagat Ayurved Sanstha Pune, VAGBHAT AWARD for excellence in teaching at Vegas (AAPNA,USA), “Young Research Scientist Award” for Invention, Research &  propagation of “Bahyopachar” Therapy (External Therapies) at Dubai and “Healer in Acupuncture” Award from International Academy of Acupuncture.

He has also co-authored several publications including a book on “Management of Asthenozoospermia with Ayurveda” which was published from Germany in 2011 by Lambert Academic Publication. He is also on the Editorial Board of International Journal of Research In Ayurved & Medical Science (IJRAMS) and AYURLOG, National Journal of Research in Ayurved Science. He has presented many research papers in National as well as international conferences, Chaired Scientific sessions and delivered Lectures in National as well as international conferences. He was also the Organizing Secretary of World AYUSH Expo 2019 & AROGYA recently held at CIDCO Exhibition centre, Vashi, Navi Mumbai.
