Vedayu Magazine - June 2020

It is my privilege to present to you, yet another edition of Vedayu - Health with Ayurveda Magazine. In this edition, we focus mainly on the concepts of Immunity as explained in Ayurveda. Our immune system is facing a unique historical challenge as we encounter increased environmental, industrial, social and dietary stressors that are now known to have a negative impact on our immune systems. It is therefore important for us to know how to take care of our body and boost the immune system to meet these ever growing challenges; in a natural way!

At its core as we all know, Ayurveda is not about suppressing symptoms, but about addressing the root cause of our imbalances. We have therefore attempted to explain Ayurvedic perspective on immunity and how following certain simple methods, one can improve their immunity. At first glance, most of the recommendations we have stated may appear quite basic and in fact, many of them are. But as you read through these sections, you will come to respect the elegant beauty in the Ayurvedic approach to bolstering the immune system - it is simple, intuitive and it reminds us just how amazing the body’s self-regulatory systems are.
